Annotated Portrait
I have refronted, cut and styled a wig which I knotted to have a very receeded hairline. I used heated rollers to add a loose wave to the wig, with the small defined curls either side of the face.
I have made a bald cap for the wig to be applied over which will give a better illusion of a much recceeded hairline. I have added 4 lace circles into the bald cap to act as anchor points that the wig can be pinned to.
For the seemingly non-existant brows, I have made silicone flatpieces which will also help emphasise the shape and deliver his expression. I will be blocking out the brows with wax and applying them over this.
For the nose, I have made a closed mould piece in silicone which creates the bump on the bridge of the nose.
I have knotted and styled the moustache so that it stays rigid and upright.
Any skin texture or lines such as eye bags, I will be painting on with a mixture of MAC NC15 foundation, and the Kryolan greasepaints.
I will be draping a black sheet around my model, and I've had a collar made by a costume maker.
