Because of the dent on the nose that occurred with the first face cast I did, I had to do another one which would be suitable for sculpting the nose onto. If I tried this with the other face cast I don't think It would've fitted Alex sufficiently. As this is a very important part of my piece, I want it ot be completely seamless. When doing the facecast I thought I'd only need the nose so I only did it from below his eyes and up the bridge of the nose. I also thought this would be faster, more efficient and more comfortable for my model. What actually ensued was me trying desperatley not to get anything near his eyes and having a face cast with no room for any grounding, which I hadn't even considered. Looking back on it, it was a really naive error and I didn't think it through fully. Thankfully I could build up the facecast around the nose area with more plaster so I'd have room for grounding and the actual nose in the face cast came out perfectly, so hopefully the nose will in turn, fit my model perfectly. The built up plastering wasn't very neat, as I was concentrating so hard on getting it smooth around the nose area so I wasn't paying much attention to the back of it. I grated it down so its smoother, but thats another thing for my to keep in mind for future reference.
