Bondo can be used as an alternative to silicone when using flatpiece moulds. Although silicone flatpieces were used for Drax the Destroyer's makeup in Gaurdians of the Galaxy, the makeup artist said that bondo pieces could have provided just as good an effect, but they would've taken a lot longer to remove.
How to make bondo flatpieces

Mix Cabosil and Prosaid in about a 50/50 ration until smooth, like a thick paste (have a lid on the cabosil when not in use. Any leftover bondo can be kept in a jar until needed).

Add a little vaseline to the mould and then spread the bondo with a spatula into the mould. Do not go all the way to the edges or fill in the grounding but spread out thinly.

If you want to give it some colour, bondo can be coloured with acrylic paint or foundation.

Because this mixture contains a lot of glue, it doesn't need an adhesive. Press the mould onto the place you want it to be applied and it sticks to the skin.

The edges can be blended with IPA but blending is usually not required

Bondo Flatpieces
I'm not sure if it's because I was so disappointed with how my silicone flatpieces turned out, but I really like bondo in comparison. I've only tried each method once, and I'm sure I'll grow to see the benefits of silicone as its so commonly used in industry, but I definately preferred working with bondo. Its much quicker, cheaper, still has translucency, can be painted with skin illustrator, doesn't need adhesive or to be blended. There weren't any chunky edges, or bits hanging everywhere, like when i applied the silicone. It doesn't run or stick and unless you rub proclean on it (roughly) it will not move. I also like that it wasn't as squidgey as the silicone, as i felt i could handle and paint it better, however I need to experiment with deadener in silicone. I know I sculpted this piece too thick in the first place; I think the middle and edges look too thick, but it definately looks a lot better than the silicone one. It's really made me think about using bondo as an alternative for my brow pieces. I will of course experiment with both, but I also think that having to not blend with IPA around the eyes is never a bad thing.
