Voldemort

As Voldemort is an evil character and the heir of slytherin, he was designed to look slightly serpant-like. As snakes have always been associated with darkness, it made sense to give Voldemort subtle, snake features. This achieved an inhuman, demonic, almost alien-like effect. The removal of eyebrows will always make a person look odd, as it removes a key point of humaneness and expression from the face. The gelatin brow pieces didn't just cover the brows, but the shape of them emphasises the skull and brings forward the brow bone - a feature common in exaggerated snakes.

The nose is his most obvious altered feature, done entirely with CGI; an effect which couldn't have been achieved without it. Not only has the nose been flattened/smoothed down, giving his overall face a more streamlined, snake-like effect, but the shape of the nostrils where definately designed with snakes in mind. Instead of just skull-like holes or anything human looking, the 2 rivets are very similar in shape to the holes surrounding a snakes mouth. An incredibly subtle work of design which i'm sure most viewers don't conciously realise.

This article explained in-depth the fusion of CGI and makeup work done for Voldemore. I think, considering most think he's a 'CGI' character, people would be surprised that it was a rush to do his makeup everyday within an hour and twenty minute time frame.
