I decided to look at a lot of films in my reasearch because I have decided to create looks that would be suitable for film/TV purposes. Moreover it is extremely difficult to find theory or real-life examples of animal/human hybrids (that aren't to do with body modification) because no-one actually splices animal and human DNA like the mad scientists seen in films. 

My essay researching has influenced my body modification research and led to creating a design from that, though I will not be taking it forward to a makeup. 

The idea of posthumanism and the idea of the self being taken away is present in my skin-graft ideas. Although it is mainly inspired by films like "The Isle of Dr Moreau" , there is certainly an element of abject body modification.
